Agnostic superiority complex..


Love this cartoon from xkcd, it captures the faux superiority of people who stretch a whole philosophy out of the simple inability or unwillingness to look at the evidence and make their minds up.

Aha but suppose that's not an agnostic. The person in that cartoon could be a Roman Catholic! Or even a member of the Church of England. Prob not C of E, of course, as we respect everyone's views...

G, you're right of course, it could anyone except an atheist or a fundamentalist Christian I suppose. I've always had a problem with the concept of "respect" when it comes to ideas or views & opinions; listen to and make time for yes, but respect; not necessarily. But then perhaps there's an element of pedantry at work there also, you know what geeks are like.. :)
